Our Firm

Hamilton Downing was established by Walton Eddlestone and Philip Hamilton in 1985 and in 2002 merged with Anthony Quinn & Co to become Hamilton Downing Quinn. Continuing the expansion of the firm, in 2003 Hamilton Downing Quinn acquired Arnold Tickner & Co, a well respected private client practice and took on Alan Taylor as a senior conveyancer. In 2006 we acquired Jerrard Saunders Donn and later absorbed the highly respected West London commercial practice of Howard Pinkerfield. From the 1 October 2012 we converted to  LLP status.

We continue to seek growth through the acquisition of carefully selected firms and hiring of talented individuals. Hillary Cohen  joining us in 2009 means we have expanded into construction law and litigation.

We have been associated with HDQ since our inception in 1997. We have used the services of HDQ and in particular two of its partners, Walton Eddlestone and James Davis, frequently. HDQ has always been our first port of call when we have needed advice we can rely on. I have always been impressed with their speedy response to queries and the professional yet friendly way they deal with all of our problems. I would not hesitate to recommend them and the fact that we still use their services after nearly 15 years says a lot.
